Cessna 172 Skyhawks to be exact. There was a "formation" of four of them flying over my house this morning. Must have been practicing approaches.
They were pretty low flying. Probably less than 1000ft although it doesn't look like it from the pictures. Junk zoom on the camera. I don't know how 2X can actually make the picture look farther away than the naked eye.
I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.

Orenda I think the problem is that the MkI eyeball is slightly more sophisticated than the finest Olympus can produce
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

True but the camera could be better. It's a Kodak DC3400 2.0 megapixle. I prefer my Pentax KM because it has a telephoto lense. It's not digital though.

We had some breed of Cessna circling us yesterday at about 500 feet.
We frequently get Bae Hawks flying over at silly hights and silly speeds.
