Ok folks, what have you got/ want  Grin

I was in ad-lib after work and I've fallen for my 4th and 5th guitars which with any luck I'll have in about 6 months.
I already ave a Danelectro 56-U2, a Cort G-260 and a Ramon something or other  Roll Eyes, a modified Marshall 75 Reverb, a Marshal blues breaker and a couple of other pedals. I'm now looking for a cort G290 and a Gibson Black Beauty, and second amp.

I had a 1968 Gibson Black Beauty (I'm assuming we're talking about the same guitar: Les Paul, 2 or 3 humbuckers) 30 years ago.  It was a great sounding guitar, good blues tone and excellent overall tone for everything else.

HOWEVER, it had flat-topped frets, and I think they were also thin frets. The guitar then was sometimes known as "The Fretless Wonder".  For me, the flat frets made for difficult, tiresome, and sometimes uncomfortable playing.  At that time, my basis for comparison was my other Les Pauls, I had a new '72 and a vintage '54, neither of which gave me the finger stress the BB did.  So try before you buy, if you can.  I do not know if all BB's had the flat frets.

Yeah, same guitar. I'd heard it was called the "Fretless wonder" but I'd never had an explanation  Roll Eyes
I'll mess around with a couple of Gibsons before I make my mind up then, thanks  8)
