I'm back all sunburnt from the Great Vintage Flying Weekend at Abingdon. I've seen enough aircraft to last me for a few days, many of them extremely rare. I took so many shots I can't possibly post them all. I can't imagine what Oshkosh must be like. Shocked

This event gets more popular each year & it's now difficult to get shots without someone getting in the way. Some people seem to enjoy counting every rivet on the plane & seem oblivious to the photographers waiting paitently for them to move. They paid their money to get in & I have no right to interfere with their pleasure - especially as I managed to get a free pass for both days. 8)

It's difficult to know where to start. Here's a few shots I put in the Cute category.

I know these are not all vintage aircraft. There were plenty there but homebuilt & light aircraft of all types are welcome at the fly-in.

Thanks Ken. It's a Dove. A couple of Austers in the background. We saw a record number of 49 different Austers of all types throughout the weekend. Being of all-metal construction these are easier to restore than many vintage types.
According to the owner of one I spoke to there's about 10 Pietenpol Air Campers flying in the UK. Several were at Abingdon over the weekend. Rogallo - there you have me?
Pic #4 is the Shield XYLA. Never seen it before & know nothing about it.

#6 & #7 is a Pulsar. Very pretty little plane. I don't know anything about this one either.
