I'm finally a Flight Sim 2004 owner!

I was wondering what everyone favorite/best add-on to 2004 is? I'm looking for some of the best planes or scenery to play with.

Depending on your video card, I'd suggest the Bill Lyons water textures.

If you're into military flying, Kirk Olsson's F-16 Viper.

Other than those two, it really depends on your system and your preferences.

Great edit, Bob.&&&&&&Google it. &&&&www.google.com

Hi.

Hyperion is right..... depends on what "floats your boat".  Civilian simmers won't typically want fighter jets....... heavy metal flyers don't often care about close up type scenery that is away from major airports.......  and bush pilots probably care little for major airport upgrades.

My favorite freeware jet aircraft is the BAe -146-200 by Jon Murchison from NZ.  Numerous editions available.

Favorite freeware (former payware) GA aircraft is the Real Air Simulations C172 for the flight model (it will spin).

Favoirte airport add-on is Kansai in Japan.

best,

Try the new F/A-18E for FS9, its great, but kills FPS on a low end system.

Have fun with FS9! For scenery add-ons try Boston's Logan Intl. I heard it was supposed to be "the best freeware scenery addon" There are also many other great downloads here on SimV  Grin

Funny...after posting I thought "Ooooh, I forgot about the Boston scenery!"

Looks like someone beat me to it though.  VERY nice scenery.  One of the best I've ever seen.

There simply loads of great European and New Zealand scenery add-ons, and as for planes, well if you don't have a Spitfire, you're not flying Grin

My favorite add ons are payware. Planes specifically.

I have all but one of the FSD planes, all but one of the Carenado, all the Dreamfleet, all the Eaglesoft biz jets, Reality XP weather radar, and just purchased Emma Field from Lago but have been having issues trying to download that one.

Someone on the forums once told me, that once you buy your first payware plane, it becomes an addiction. Definitely a true statement  Shocked

As for freeware, I like bush piloting so I tend to download the BFU freeware scenery add ons, or any add on for small obscure airports in Alaska and N Canada

My life is like the movie Office Space

I would definately get terrain mesh for the area's you like to fly around in. I got the West Coast terrain mesh off of avsim, and it makes FS2004 so much more detailed.

Have fun with FS2004

Fret best Spit would have to go to any Paul Rebuffat model, they're CFS2 originally, but work perfectly in FS9. Simply divine 8)
Personally I love his Mk IX, but his XIV is the stuff of legend! The Mk VII is interesting as it has the high altitude wings rather than the usual eliptical ones...
