First you have to unzip the folder to a temporary spot.  Your desktop will work fine.

Then copy the aircraft folder into your FS9/Aircraft directory.

If you should see anything that says "gauges" (usually in the panel directory of the zip file), those will need to go into your FS9/Gauges directory.  (Rare, but necessary if they're there.)

Once you've done that, you should be all set!

All right great news. I got it to work! Grin

Now there are still a few other things i want to do.

How do i make my plane crash? I see a realistic plane crash thing on here so where do i put it in my FS folder. And then how do i get the new skins?

Thanks

Well done. I haven't tried the crash file you mention. I imagine instructions are included. Look for a text file in the download. It's usually named Readme.txt or similar. You can open it in Notepad or a word processor.

Most downloads come with instructions. It's best to follow them but ignore all advice to unzip files direct to the sim. For the repaints read this thread. http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=COF;action=display;num=108... If they're for 3rd party aircraft you might need to install the original first or it could be configured as a complete aircraft. The included instructions should tell you.

You might also like to visit my Lair from the link in my signature.

It depends which "crash thing" you're using.  There are several.

Personally, I use CrashBak and Select FX (payware, but very reasonable) by Grant Bovee.  There are demos available here at SimV and I love 'em.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft

You will find all the aircraft in there.
