I am new here, so please forgive me if this has been discussed elsewhere (or is a forbidden subject!)

Somewhere, somehow, someone must've heard some rumor(s) about the next release of MS Flight Simulator.

A birdie whispered into my ear that we'll see an Airbus...

I am not sure by they are putting airbus into FS10, do you mean stock aircraft.  If you go here http://www.simviation.com/fs2004jets26.htm you will find some airbus aircraft for FS9, there are many others if you browse around.

That would be fs10(not the current version) - as a stock aircraft.

It should be challenging, considering that the Airbus doesn't always do what you tell it to do.

I haven't heard anything yet as FS9 has only just come out. And virtually nothing has been heard about CFS4 yet either. All in all M$ seem to be playing with their cards v.close to their chest. Expect some proper "rumours" about FS10 next year sometime...

Ooops Embarrassed, i meant FS10, but still it is nothing new as people have already made Airbus aircraft for FS9.  Though as stock aircraft it could be interesting.

I don't think you'll see Airbus aircraft in FS for quite a while, if ever.

Keep in mind that up until recently, both Boeing and Microsoft were Seattle based, a fact which I'm sure contributed to their decisions.

Its quite annoying that we never get any good rumours about FS 10.
I know why Microsoft will never tell us the new features, but still it would be nice to get a taste of what they are thinking about.

I doubt they will crate Airbuses as stock aircraft since they didnt even make a Concorde for 'a century of flight' , surprised they didnt make a b2707 instead  Roll Eyes .

Microsoft does tell us things about new versions prior to the release, but right now it's too early.

FS9 has been out less than a year.  If they start leaking things now, people will be more inclined to wait for FS10 than buy FS9.  It's a matter of marketing.

That, and there probably isn't much about FS10 to report right now.

And that is the funniest statement I've read today  Smiley
Maybe you talk about the 'busses in Flight sim?
If the REAL airbus is good at anything it is the smooth precise controls.

We could start a few rumours, that would be fun.  I'll go first.

I have heard that it will cost £55 and come on 7 DVD's.  All of the terrain will be photorealistic and the mesh 4 times more accurate than the current standard.  It will not be playable without an internet connection and there will be very little in the way of AI traffic. Instead all users will be online all of the time and the player will see realtime sim "traffic".  This bloke told me and his cousin works for a bloke who is married to the sister of the uncle of the man who dry cleans the shoes of the woman who sold some plane tickets to one of the programmers.  This is therefore A1 material and should not be disregarded.

... and it will NEVER crash or generate errors. Ever.

Seriously folks, I was quite surprised when I heard about the Airbus myself, as M$ has a history of representing US aircraft. But the rumor carries a fair amount of weight (and no, I did NOT read it on the 'net - this is firsthand information).

There are many other things I'd like to see tackled instead, but that belongs to the wishlist thread. So if you have a dinkum rumor to contribute, fire away.

I would love that to be the case.
