Allrighty, it's been awhile

Today's American Airlines 737-800 flight is a 700nm medium haul between Seattle and Walker Field Airport.
Walker Field air...err...where the heck is that, you may ask. Well it's in Grand Junction, Colorado. Located on the Rockies, airport elevation is roughly 5.000ft with an interesting approach, but more on that later.
The route to Grand Junction looks as follows

We have received our pushback clearance at Seattle, active runway is 16R.

Airborne, the night flights are always so relaxing, especially when you can see the moon in the 'almost' clear sky

Reaching our top of descent point, the sun is already there to welcome us with it's warm light, however it's below -50C outside...

I mentioned the approach earlier. Well ATC has cleared us to ILS 11 via the 14 DME ARC (JNC 112.4)
I rarely fly those kind of approaches so after good while I finally had an adequate LNAV profile

Continuing our descent, arc entry will be at 9000ft.

Crossing the Threshold, winds were 143/13 so it was quite windy today.

Finally, the mains touchdown on terra firma and another flight is in the books for this AA workhorse.

And here's the reason for the ARC approach, notice the hills surrounding Grand Junction

Thanks for watching 8)
