Because you just never know who'll stop in!!
I arrived just after she landed, but couldn't mistake what she was when I saw her flying over the house!
The first time I ever got a close look at a gun camera! And in the next photo you can see this Corsair was autographed by the original Blacksheep!
But that wasn't all, appears she was followed by some friends, aka P47 Thunderbolts!
And last but not least a TBM!
All in all a awesome day to follow your instincts when they tell you to stop by the airport. These birds came from a airshow, and will be staying here for a few weeks before the next one, when the leave to make some other lucky people smile!

Yeah I am pretty lucky! I hang out at our local airport allot. The Warbird museum (where these are from) is right here and I became friends with the owners as soon as it opened. Great Group of people! As you could tell it didn't take long before others saw these birds flying overhead and the made thier way to see what was up!
The airport here is also home to many other flying warbirds, T34's, a TBM, The Hun Hunter (T47 pictured) and a occasional T6 Texan. I live on the nearest lake and just about everyday becomes a airshow, the guys that own these birds love to show off!!
They do formation flying, aerobatics, etc just about everyday the weather is good, so it isn't uncommon to have a "air raid" every evening here!
But the way the Corsair is for sale and in my honest opinion for the condition of this beauty at a cost of 1.6 million, is a fair price. Of course I would love too buy it but someday I might have kids that need to goto college. LOL!

Flying Trucker: Yes I'm suppose to be taking some flights in a T34 Mentor soon. Was suppose too last fall but the weather never went along with my days off
I'm also working on a flight in the TBM, and also a few times formation flying!!!
I'm taking a camera so you can bet that I'll be here bragging soon

Well, we have a Spitfire at our local airport (a real one with a Griffon engine
) but even that can't top a pair of P-47s
Fantastic shots.
