Any ideas please.
Ground textures near by are fine, but textures in the distance are hazy looking. As you fly, they become clear as you get near them, but those in the distance are always hazy.
Is this normal or can i adjust a display setting?

5900 ultra card, latest drivers, win XP, 1 gb ram, pentium 4 3ghz.

Thanks.

Its normal, and don't worry about it.  If it didn't do that then your FPS would be lower than my I.Q. Grin

This is called mip-mapping. It's there to make distant objects look hazy and disturbed to give you the realistic feeling of distance.
Settings for mip-map can be found at:
display settings --> hardware (you got the right stuff BTW) --> mip-map quality
Increase the value to make distant scenery look clearer!
Also look for directx mip-map settings in your graphics card settings.
Best regards
