As a Rail gun Greta moves around quite a lot. I would reccomend finding a railway line and flying along it. If and when you notice a huge great gun and tons of flak you will have found Greta, or one of her sisters.

Make a note of your co-ordinates before you crash and burn and you can go back later and kick some ass.
