Vickers Supermarine Spitfire MkVc
The Spitfire MkVc
Scramble! 110s and HE 111s are attacking.
Dealing with the escorts.
Taking on the bombers. The 4x20mm cannon are quite lethal.
Another bomber falls to the defenders.
Diving through the main formation.
Even the Spitfire is not invincible. Always check your six!
Fighter-bomber time. Loaded with extra fuel and a couple of 250Lb bombs.
Dive-bomber.
Direct hit!
The MkVc introduced the universal or C type wing that could be armed with several combinations of weapons including 4 20mm cannon.
Another superb CFS3 Spitfire from Josh Ziebarth "Zuyax" and Bill "Spitfrnd" Wilson. Available at AvHistory.

Nice shots! But funny plane, that inlet ( mark my knowledge of the correct terms...) under the Propellor makes it look like droopy.

It's the Vokes tropical air filter. For use in hot places Spitfires and Hurricanes had to have larger oil tanks and large sand filters fitted. These filters reduced the speed and climb rate quite badly and a new type, the Abourkir filter, was designed and fitted. This was much smaller and caused less drag. The bigger oil tank remained and most Tropical Spits have a bigger chin it take this. Some early Seafires had the Vokes filter fitted also. I never really liked these big filters myself, but it makes a nice addition to the CFS3 Spitfire family.

Yep, 90gal Slipper tank. Comes with a couple of different sizes. I think I was supposed to dump the tank before I went bombing though
