I'm kind of curious about how I am doing with photoshop, and was wondering if you all would look and see if you can tell where I altered this picture at.  There are several places.  I want to print some of these out to put on my wall, but if guests are going to be noticing things I don't then I need to get better first.

I'm begging you here!  Please rip it apart, if you can!

Kevin

P.S.  Insulting the subject matter is not constructive!  Smiley

I'd guess the rear of the aicraft and the ground directly below it.

But seriously Pippin, nobody is ever gonna know. If you hadn't told me it was edited, I bet nobody on the forum would have guessed.

That's kind of the point.  Smiley  If you can't tell it's edited, then I'm good to go.  I really want Rifle to take a look at it, since he's so good with editing.  I'll post the original later this evening.

I'm not totally sure that this entire plane hasn't been imported from a different field....there seems to be an apparent slight difference between the A/C resolution and the res of the background, to me.... ?  ???
Upon my inspection, I see a pixellation of the ailerons' trailing edge, and various other lines on the P-47 which show as more pronounced, than that of the line of the horizon ?  ???

I could be wrong though, I have been on many occasions.....

If not, maybe its been an enhancement to the stripes on the horizontal stab, where they shot a slightly diff colour than the rest,....were they washed out by the sun angle, then darkened to show better ?
Maybe the " black " of the invasion stripes around the rear fuselage were a tad changed also ?

I am going to say the prop, the canopy and something else......

That prop is sticking out for some reason, it is just so....black.
If you didn't say you did anything Kevin, nobody would ever know!
Let's see the original.

I fired up Photoshop...opened the picture...analyzed, and found this little weird color mix.

the red circle is of course done by me, but I wonder why the tree crown goes from  green to dark grey?  Smiley

Here's the original...  I printed it and now it's waiting for a frame.  I'm not sure about the white areas surrounding the props.  I've seen it in several other pictures also.  It's in the original.  I wonder if it could have something to do with being done with a digital camera.  I have no idea what they were taken with, so that's only a guess.

See what I mean Pippin? Nobody got it right, not even Rifle. So how likely is it that someone will notice it has been edited once it's on your wall? Wink

Thanks Jon, and thanks to everyone, especially Ken.  Now I can start spending a fortune on frames.  I think that I can get prints done at Kinko's for larger than 8X10.  I've seen their work, and they actually do a decent job.  Most of the pics from are 11X16, but I can crop them.  I will probably even order some larger ones from Airliners, if I can find some worthy.

To tell you honestly, it is smudged where you've removed the people and such. Couldn't you make that look like where you've replaced that slit trench?

Wow.  This one was even better than the Jenny!

I wouldn't worry too much about it.  I've got a good eye, and I couldn't spot anything on this one.  (I did see one thing that was obvious to me...but then I saw the original and realized I was wrong.  LOL)

Thanks Scott, I appreciate the comment.  The Jenny was much harder to do and involved several processes I am just learning, including color adjusting.  This one was pretty much just removing things.  I have it hanging above my computer now.

But what Pippin isn't saying is that the real original photo was of a Spitfire in a muddy Flanders field.
