Hi

Can someone help me with this AP problem:

On some of my a/c (not all) when I release the

AP the a/c jumps about 2000 ft in the air and

assumes an attiitude of up 50 degs. I have to

fight like mad to level it. This happens if I'm at

7000 ft 230 kph or at 31000 ft at 310 kp and

all the nmbrs in between. I've tried everything

I can think of with zip results. Also it doesn't seem

to matter whether the a/c was built for fs9, fs22,

fs98 or even fs95.  All other aspects of the AP

function perfectly well. Got me stumped?

Tnx / Nek

Are you in straight and level flight when you disengage ???
is your vertical speed set to zero.
If you disengage autopilot while either climbing or descending  your vertical speed will be set anywhere from 750 + or - to 1800 + or - with other trim set to netural this might cause the airplane to jump.
Do you shut off the alt hold first or are you just shutting off the AP ??? Is there a comand  button any where ???

I'm with Gary...sounds like your stab trim is waay out of line here.
Autopilot is correcting the excessive trim,. but as soon you disengage it...the aircraft points the nose towards the sky and you' get that lovely "50 degree attitude"
