I was sat in the garden yesterday evening enjoying the last light when this appeared over the house opposite.
I had the camera batteries on charge so dashed in and stuck em back in the camera and took a few shots.... My wife then shouted from the front garden that there where 3 more, alas and alack the batteries ran out again when I got round there.
Heres the best of the one I did get.

Nice one Eno.
Pity you missed the others. It might be time to think about investing in a spare set of batteries.
Not that I can talk. In the few months I've had my digital camera I've missed several golden opportunities for various reasons. I do my best but I'm just not cut out to be a photographer.

The real pity was that I had literally just put them on charge and when rushing around couldnt find any "normal" batteries

Still beautiful shots!
Just imagine my surprise when last summer a B-17E went flying over at literally about 500 feet...

Well if that suprised u my experience last summer would have sent u ducking. I was at the Highland Games in Scotland and the RAF parachute team were doing their usual and a little while later this huge Nimrod, I think it was, came and swooped really low over the field, -which was packed with people. It was all part of the day, but I never knew it was coming. I wish I'd had a camera ready! It was much less than the 300ft they allow. I don't know how he got away with it, but it was great to see. He was so low that I didn't see him come in because of the trees around the field.
Regards
Ben

We get that all the time round here. A Tornado once frightened the life out of my mum when it buzzed her at about 50ft.
