Hi mate... I don't know if there is a limit in 2002. Check your panels. If you have an autopilot gauge, for example common to all the problem planes, then try removing this or 'Quoteing it out' in the panel.cfg's of the affected aircraft.
Dan

P.s. Whats the plane in your avatar?

Try removing all the troublesome aircraft t a folder away from FS... then if you have no problems put them back one by one, and find out which aircraft it is. Failing that a reinstall may be the only option...

I can't imagine what can be causing this problem. To the best of my knowledge there is no limit to the number of installed aircraft in FS2002. This will possibly affect the time the sim takes to load but that's all. The gauges will only be read for the panel of the aircraft you select so the number of gauges in the GAUGES folder is irrelevant. A bug with one aircraft should have no affect on the others.

If your joystick is not defective the autopilot seems the most logical culprit. Make sure it's switched off.

PS. If you suspect the problem is caused by a 3rd party aircraft try Dan's suggestion & remove a few. The easiest method is to create a Hangar subfolder within the FS2002\Aircraft folder. Drag as many aircraft as you wish into the Hangar to temporarily remove them from the menu. To reinstall them drag them back again. Be sure not to remove any default aircraft.

The wing leveler will also keep you from rolling the aircraft.

I think we all have done some silly mistakes in these sims from time to time....

...like me once..forgetting to engage the landing gear only to end up giving my airplane a new sanding on the belly! (well it needed a new paint job anyway Cheesy )
