Well, I'm off on a cross country trip of the USA for FS9. Sadly I am unable to take and post screenshots until I get the new hard drive up and running. (Hopefully this will be done for my next trip to Africa). Anyway, I was wondering if any of you would like to post your hometown so I could drop by and say "Hi" if it's near the cities on my current flight plan. I'll be happy to add them on!  Grin

Newfield, NY and the nearest airport is Ithaca-Tompkins Regional Airport (KITH). The region I live in is called the Finger Lakes region and is located about 220 NW of New York City.

All right I'll add these to my Flight Plan. Currently I'm in-flight to Wakita, Oklahoma so I'm in that area. Then I go off into Tennessee into the Carolinas, then up north along the Eastern Seaboard into Boston, my turnaround point. Then I go through New York, Toronto, Michigan, Missouri, Kansas, Northern Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, and back home in Washington  Grin BTW I still have room for more hometown posts  Wink

The airport nearest to my house in Santa Clarita, CA is

Agua Dulce (L70), it is a nice airport about 20 miles north of Van Nuys.

OK, in that case you must stop at KSWF (Stewart Field) in Newburgh, NY
It`s a major NY airport right off the Hudson River just north of West Point.......a very senic area.
It`s a former AFB with a 12k foot runway. Smiley

Home airports are KMGJ and KSWF in Orange County, NY&&Stop by and say hello. Smiley

Don't forget good 'ol New York City on your way back...you can choose any of the three major airports (KLGA), (KJFK), (KEWR) or even the executive airport (KTEB).

Let me know which one and I'll be sure to stop by and greet you!

Yes you must visit the NY City area.
I suggest you land at KTEB.

Then follow the senic Hudson River up to KSWF (Newburgh NY) before heading west. Smiley

I have already visited NYC. I stopped at some old abandoned airport in Brooklyn (CGAS) next to KJFK. The scenery there was nice though! You can see the skyline in the distance, JFK is visible across that little bay there, a lot of bridges are in the area, and Coney Island is a few miles away  8)

I have also already gone to Newburge (Check your Instant Messages Box  Wink) BTW, the Hudson route was very scenic, much more scenic than I imagined!  Cheesy Looking forward to fly over the mountains again, on my next stop in Syracuse (KSYR)  Grin

Yep, St. Louis is part of my original flight plan. Most likely I'll land at Spririt of St. Louis Airport (KSUS). Shouldn't be long to get there...only 5 or so legs  Wink
BTW I will be flying the default Mooney Bravo for this trip  8)

If you go through Indiana stop at KBAK (Columbus Municipal) and I'll buy you a beer. Just be careful of the military restricted zone a little north and west of the airport. Wouldn't want to be mistaken for a target drone.  Grin Grin
