It was actually off a new carrier in Frisco Bay just across from the existing FS9 one. So I had 2 carriers working with AI in the Bay. Pretty spectacular.

Now the problems. There's something weird about the existing Frisco carrier. It's a nice model, bit small, but somehow it distorts the scenery. Sometimes you run the sim and it's fine. Next time you get scenery errors which I can't go into yet because I've got the scenery working using new techniques that I want to keep to myself until I've published the package.

I'm just about at the point where I think I'll add a 3rd carrier in the Bay (southern end) so I can have 2 landable carriers running AI in the Bay that you can flightplan to/from and land/takeoff from and either leave the original one landable but with no AI or even delete it completely (maybe I'll give people the option to do that).

Trouble is I can't keep playing around much longer - it's already taken more time than I can really afford right now.

[quote author=Fozzer link=board=COF;num=1082826998;start=0#10 date=05/02/04 at 08:03:20]I alwasy turn my strobe light on before I start the engine, and leave it on until after I shut down.
That way it brings to the attention of anyone nearby that my aircraft is "active", and to keep clear... Wink...!

Do you mean your beacon light?  Strobes are used for exactly what Real_Aviator said and beacon lights for what you mean.  Anyways yes I think the AI was improved alot from Fs2002,  I just wish they would clear the runway faster.  They taxi at about the right speed but aircraft on the runway should taxi faster than they do on the taxi ways so the can clear the runway faster.

The other thing is that aircraft waiting to go are told to hold short even when incoming aircraft are still several miles out or even still on base. If you have a couple of incoming the waiting ones often then disappear which is very annoying.

Yeah the beacon is turned on just before you start up your engines.

Yeah I think the ATC needs much more work. I suppose that the ATC has no way of telling ( yet ) how long it will take you to take-off, so they left a big gap for safety.

I've been using that New Zealand carrier and
Carrier2004.  I've had some troubles with Carrier2004
as the deck is sometimes not "hard".

How many carriers in Roger's package? Where are they
positioned?  As you can tell I can hardly wait.   Grin
