Nice. I like the men on the carrier, that really helps to make it look really real.

those textures look great!  Shocked very life like (except the nose looks too much like plastic to me, maybe messing with the alpha channel would help that). overall a very awesome repaint!

Thanks alot for the great replies. It really is a nice repaint that I think makes the original model look a little more realistic.
Thanks again
Eric

Yeah, ruekesj... You're thinking of the F-8 Crusader... The A-7 was derived from the F-8, only shorter and had no burners... Here's the A-7 in real life... Wink

isn't that the plane that doesn't have flaps but instead the whole front of the wing lifts up from the fuselage, or is that the F-8 crusader?

looks like a seriously detailed model, so seeing that if has flaps modelled i'm probably thinking of the F-8.

here i found some pics.( of the F-8 ) [img]

That's the F-8 alright. The A-7 was made by Vought, who also made theF-8. They based their A-7 design on their F-8. Main difference being that the A-7 was subsonic, which greatly increased payload and range. Besides, high speeds aren't good characteristics for attack planes. I know, the F-15, -16, -18, -22 and -35 can all drop bombs and certainly do a good job doing so, but the ability to fly low and slow for more accuracy is ideal among all attack aircraft.

Almost all attack aircraft are subsonic, w/ the exception of the FB-111. Others, like the A-4, -6, -10, AV-8 are all subsonic.

Nice plane! Grin And screens... Grin
