These are the names of all the White Star and Cunard ships that I can find.  Some have been removed as they are too famous (ie Titanic) others as they are too modern.  One because Sarah went there once on Holiday and hated it (Teneriffe).

Copy and paste into your callsign.dat file under British Troop Transports and you can use them in missions.

I'm afraid Smoke that your going to have to edit that list for those that didn't make it to WWII. Mauretania sank in WWI. I don't think Britannic made it past that conflict either. And Lusitania. I think Olympic was scrapped in the 30's. Though I might be wrong about that one. It might have been the late 40's. Carpathia I belive was sunk in WWI and I believe Aquitania was either sunk in WWI or scrapped sometime afterwards.

I'm afraid this list needs some serious editing before it goes in my CFS2. Thats of course if I ever get round to fixing my CFS2... Tongue

Feel free to edit away Woody, these are names that White Star and Cunard have used in the past.  Many of them come from pre 1876 ships, they simply add colour (ie names) to the screen when you fly over a convoy.

I have managed to get an almost complete list of all British submarines used from '39-45 Tongue

Look what I found. http://www.merchantnavyofficers.com/indexframe.html
It includes a full history of the Cunard Steamship Company.

There you go then.  Just by scrolling down a little you can see instantly that the second ship on the list was lost in 1916 Grin

The whole of the callsign.dat file needs a complete rewrite, someone did have a go a couple of years past and added a lot more warship names to it in the British section.
Have had a word with some other ship builders about making the liners catergory 22 so the ships would have 1.5.22 after their names, at the moment the listing looks like this-

VESSEL TYPE          FAMILY    CATEGORY

carrier
shipbourne helipad    5           13

Battleships           5           17

Cruisers              5           14

Destroyers
Corvettes             5           15

Frigates
Destroyer Escorts     5           20

Seaplane Tenders      5           21

Sampans
PT Boats              5           18

Amphib Ships          5           24

Submarines            5           16

Troopships
LST's
Tankers
Oilers
Transports
HS Transports
Cargo
Ammo                  5           19

As you can see there's a few categories not used, best grab 'em before the flyboys get their sticky mitts on 'em.

Hi Woody,

cfs2 operates ships similar to a/c, and as you have categories for the a/c, ie fighters=1 etc.
This makes the sim AI fly them in certain ways which is why some bombers will tend to fight like fighters if their category has been fixed wrong.

With ships the categories haven't been researched yet, but it safe to say that number 13 is for movable hard surface so that you can land and takeoff and so is coded to the platform/s within the ships cfg file.

The categories are also linked to the dp in [Misc] section, but what this does I'm not sure of at the moment.

regards  Collin
