I had just recntly purchased the PMDG737....I was trying it out for the first time and I know I will not understand it the first few time...but from coming from the A319 to the 737 I have a few question....when I take off do I hit LNAV....or do I have to control it according to the FMC...also I tried programming the FMC....and saw no place to insert the speeds or does that automatically load with the fuel weight and all other weights???

Hi jrpilot - LNAV is really only when you have an FMC plan loaded - I know the manual is difficult, so i would really recommend downloading Fred Clausen's excellent tutorial - starts you up from cold and dark thru programming the FMC, right the way to landing. Never read the manuals cover to cover but i can now confidently set flight plans in the FMC and all its settings! its available here and on simviation.. good luck!!

I'm an FS idiot and I've learned the plane.  The FMC was the most intimidating, but now that I know it I love it.  Good luck.

BTW...you can have it calculate your speed or you can manually set it.
