I have a panel that's gotten all out of whack after trying to adjust the views from panel.cfg and aircraft.cfg.

Panel.cfg:

VIEW_FORWARD_EYE=17.0
VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=12.0, 0.0, 0.0

Aircraft.cfg:

(Views)
eyepoint=20.210486,0.000000,2.652867

The Panels SDK says View forward eye - "Enables you to change the default eye point of a view." Not real helpful.

The Aircraft SDK is a little more helpful and says "This value specifies, in feet, the longitudinal, lateral, and vertical position of the pilot’s eyepoint from the aircraft’s datum point.

How do these values work together?  Does aircraft.cfg override panel.cfg?  Might that value of 20.2 acount for the problem?

Changes where you sit in the VC, and also how you view the world from the 2d cockpit.

I haven't read the latest SDKs. Generally speaking, Panel.cfg entries define the 2D panel & Aircraft.cfg entries affect the 3D visual model. In this case the Aircraft.cfg [Views] entries define the viewpoint in the DVC from Virtual Cockpit mode.

Thanks for the help, guys.  After a little trial and error, View Forward Dir turned out to be the culprit.
