Then it would paint the blank space outside of the model's texture.  8)
I doesnt tend to affect the plane in any way, shape or form.
But i personally prefer to keep it neat incase anyone wants to edit my textures.  Grin

Nothing would happen... So if you want to paint the whole bitmap the same colour as the fuselage (For example) it wouldn't make a difference to how the textures show up in the sim Smiley
