Oddest thing has happened.  I get engine sound for the default planes, but not for my add-on planes.  I get background noises, wind, crashes and all that, but no engine noises.  Anyone got a clue why?

Is the sound file correct? Have you put the wav files in the sound folder properly? Try looking for the stupidly obvious first Kevin, I nearly always find its some singularly silly mistake I've made Roll Eyes Embarrassed Grin

Yeah, this isn't just one plane.  It's all add-on planes.

Try re-installing the sound.dll file, its v.twitchy. I put a 2k2 plane in the other week and it knackered all sound! Once I'd removed the offending plane and re-installed sound.dll everything went back to normal Wink

A lot of addon planes will alias some other planes sound file. Look in the sound folder of the addon planes to see what they are using they may be using sound from a plane you do not have or might not even have a sound.cfg file in them at all. You will have to check each planes sound folder.  8)
