Hi guys,
As many of you may know, the Meljet 777's are for FS2002, and FS2004 ( duh

). You might also know ( probably ) that they require Active Camera so that you can walk about in the cabin ( duh again ).
Anyway, since Active camera for FS2004 is 15$, which really pisses my off, i've divised a
free way to get around...

This is a screenshot of a commercial a/c's FDE, namely the default 737-400. The section of the FDE( or CGF, or whatever ) here defines where the eyepoint will be in the 3d model of the Virtual cokcpit/Virtual Cabin. As you can see, the first number is 43. This means the eyepoint is 43 feet from the middle of the plane, or, the cokcpit.
You will find the same part of the Aircraft.cgf in the Meljet777's. The eyepoint is very far forward, around where the cockpit should be. To get to the back of the aircraft where the passenger cabin is, you must change the first numer in this part of the cgf accordingly, somewhere from -10 to 30.
Once this is done, save the changes to the cgf file, and open flight simulator. Select your Meljet 777, and start a flight with it. You will notice that the default eyepoint is placed in the Cabin, make slight changes to the cgf, in order to get the eyepoint how you want, or you may just be satisfied with it the way it is.
Now, to walk around we can use a default veiwpoint feature in FS. Use combinations of CTRL, SHIFT, ENTER (RETURN), BACKSPACE to move around. For example: to go forward hold down CTRL + BACKSPACE, to go backwards hold down CTRL + ENTER (RETURN)
If nothing happens when you do this, you may want to go to the assignments panel and assign the neccesary buttons to these actions.
Hope this helps for all of you Meljet fans out there.
Mike
