Didn't one of the prev versions at least have moving light during nighttime?

I don't remember, That would at least be something.

What do computers and air conditioners have in common?...
They both will work perfectly, until you open windows.

there are replacement road textures at avsim.com that have colored textures on the roads for traffic, but nothing moves, and if you really look you can see how fake it looks unless you're high up. anyway the road textures themself are very nice and you have options of no traffic-high traffic.

You should talk to Katahu here on SimV. He is into all that stuff and is planning to make his own website about it.  Grin

When I first got FS2004 I noticed lights moving along roads at twilight near Nice in France. This was from approx 3000 feet.

No I was not hallucinating Wink

I was flying under a bridge repeatedly near my home 'drome (nothing better to do Grin )  and I'm positive I saw traffic. Perhaps if autogen and dynamic scenery are maxed out; you may see it. Smiley

You could probably create some cars and use afcad and ttools to create traffic routes, but you might have a hard time making them go up the hills instead of through them. Grin

Smiley Wink Cheesy Grin

the problem with road traffic is the frame drop down....otherwise it would be so nice to see cars, trains, buses all around!
I've never saw moving lights on the roads.

an add-on LAX scenery adds moving lights to the end of the runways where the 405 freeway is. the file is called lax3.zip

its too bad its only for a small portion of the runway, because it looks beautiful!

If I remember correctly, some scenery work I did with the freeware "Airport" designer had moving lights on the roads that you would insert with that.  Only on the "major roads" I think.

As to the default fs2004 program.... I cannot say that I have ever seen moving lights on the roads anywhere.  And all sliders are fully maxed in my setup now.

best,
