Dan - as this is so specialised & I have never seen a post regarding VB development, it may be an idea to ask at a forum specific to VB development & there will be a few out there ....

I just did a quick search & the net is full of them...

Thanks.  8)

Dan,

While there are a lot of VB development forums there is next to no info on flight simulator programming in VB.  Certainly not enough, as Pete said, to justify a separate forum here.

However, as a software developer I'd be happy to contribute to a discussion on the subject if you had specific issues you wanted to talk about, say, in the Computer Games and Software forum.  I don't usually spend much time there but I will start watching for your posts if you're interested.

If you want to see what others have done, I'd suggest learning to read C and then start looking for sample code.  One bright spot is www.flightgear.org. ; It's home of an open source flight simulator that is fairly advanced.  I should warn you though that it is "industrial strength" C and will take some digging to understand.  I have also seen occassional stuff written in Java and C# but you have to dig for it.

Dan,

Be persistent and stay with it.  I still remember when I couldn't spell C.  If you're pure of heart and noble of spirit the programming gods will smile on you. Grin
