Before you ask "what is it m'lord" (oh lord - i hope they have seen Blackadder before) i wold like to explain something.

hello plane lovers. We all have different tastes dont we?
??? [yes] shouts the crowd.
Therefore we all chose from a variety of things. don't we?
??? [yes] replies the crowd, now growing bored of this.
Well who would like to hear my cunning plan.

Why not build two - in - one  Grin Grin Im sure someone must have thought of this before. but im crazy enough to attempt it.  think it can be done, you just add alot of engine data into it.

Unfortunately i have limited Dmax design skills etc. and am a texture man. Could anyone become my partner and change aviation history in a way the world has never seen? send me an email if you are interested.

atotti2000@hotmail.com

oh btw, i would be planning on doing th best textures you have ever seen  Grin   x10  Tongue

What exactly is he trying to say? I lost it around two in one. Anyway...I think the best way to do aircraft is to simply group all aircraft in one category in every site. Someone makes the aircraft in the factory colors of the country that designed it. Then other people can all make the repaints for the different countries and different squadrons.
So, if you wanted to get an F-16. You would go to a site. You go to the modern fighter section. You click on F-16. You find a list of all the variants that different people have uploaded. Then, say you want an F-16C. You click on F-16C. Then, say you want an Israeli F-16C in the colors of squadron XX-XXX, then you would click on Israel, then see if somebody has made a repaint for squadron XX-XXX.
Also, the repaints would all be made for the best version, and the best version would have no cosmetic weapons. If someone wants to add cosmetic weapons, then they would list those in another section.

Today's forecast: Islam with a chance of Greek. Tomorrow: Zoroastrianism throughout the day. And remember your fire-proof clothing, as Puritanism prevails all weekend!

Hey, computerboy, your plan sounds very "systematic" to me. But its an execellent idea. But clicking on all the classficiation buttons and ending up finding out that the model you want is nonexistant is a waste of time. I think that the website should be a search engine. like you have type in the model you want and it will see if it can find it. Like you have to type in the manufacture, aircraft, aircraft version, country of operation, branch of military, squadron, and load out. For example, if you want the F-16C you discribed then you might type in: Lockheed Martin/F-16/C/Isreal/Air Force/XX-XXX/GBU.

Well, thats my idea, yours might be better, but I don't know
