How did you install the afcad file ??? Was this a new airport
??? Or were you trying to edit an existing one ???
Be a litte more specific with your problem. Not sure exactly what you did here. 8)

I want to install a new Afcad for glasgow Airport(egpf) to allow the traffic to move properly. I am using a .txt afcad file

Here are the steps i follow
1. Open AFCAD 1.4
2. i go to import airport and open the text file
3. I then save the airport as instructed in the readme
4. I start FS2002
5. when it gets to building indexes for new facility files it goest to the desktop at 16%

sorry for not being more specific in my original post

It sounds like the afcad file might be corupt in some way.
All afcad files have the TXT ending try to open your file with note pad and see if you have any problems. If it will not open or has jibberish in it you have a bad file if this was downloaded try to download it again.
Other than that I do not know what else to suggest to you. On afcad files that I have down loaded for FS2004 all I did was to start afcad open the file then save it this puts in FS I have never imported an airport before. You might not have to import this file if it was made by afcad then all you need to do is put it in the scenery file with the other afcad files 8)

i have recently tried to create an airporrt that does not exsit and it seems when ever there is a new AFD added to fs2002 it gets to "building indexes for new facility files" reaches 16 % and i am at the desktop. Has anyone else had this problem or know of a fix or what is wrong it is really beggining to get annoying. I am still running fs2002 because fs2004 does not meet my system requirements
