FS2002 has been having problems with scenery files after I uninstalled FS2004. Window pops up showing an error with the scenery files on most of the airports. One error message is: ID:4F47414C,0X34667254,0X0000001,0X00000031

How do I go and fix this other than reinstalling FS2004?? I no longer have the disks for FS2004. I have tried reinstalling FS2002 and it doesn't seem to help.

The two files are completley different removing one should not effect the other.
Unless you installed one on top of the other. By that I mean when you installed FS2004 you told your system to put it in the folder for FS2002. But I can not imagine why on gods earth you would do that ??? But if you did and uninstalled it  Tongue who knows what your system would have done  Sad
If this is the case I would suggest you uninstall fs2002 remove all of the old folders for FS2004 and FS2002 then reinstall fs2002. That should clear everything up.

As Gary points out, FS2002 & FS2004 are completely separate programs. Uninstalling one should not affect the other in any way.

I suggest you uninstall FS2002 again - then delete the FS2002 directory folder from your HD & reboot before doing a fresh install. Use the default "Typical" or "Custom" install option with all scenery on your HD if you wish to run the sim without the CD in the drive. I suspect that trying to run the sim without a CD in the drive from the "Minimal" install option is the cause of most of these missing scenery errors.
