Hi David,

Take off from Reagan, KDCA, r/w 1, and you'll fly directly over downtown D.C. and most of the government buildings and monuments.

The White House is just north of the Washington Monument.

Cheers,
Dave

P.S. Watch out for bogies on your 6 as this is a prohibited area.

Hi David,

And just from asking that question on a flight sim board..... you might be seeing some black vehicles with dark tinted windows parked near your house  Wink.

I didn't think the location of the White House was a secret. I have it plainly marked on a free tourist map I picked up in the hotel lobby when I visited Washington DC a few years ago. I suppose I'd better watch out for black vehicles myself after admitting that. Lips Sealed Tongue Grin

I seem to remember someone saying that they got the location wrong in FS9. Whether this was deliberate I can't say. Roll Eyes

All you have to do is like one of the others said is, take off runway 1 from KDCA and really just head straight out.

Does messing up the GPS include the coordinates too?

The white house is not wrongly positioned in FS9.  I know from personal experience- I've toured the whol darn city and they did a pretty good job, considereing that it is default M$ stuff.
And when looking for the white house- its the white, short building, not the tanish-brown one next to it, since they look similar.

Camp David (the president's private retreat, somewhere in maryland) is one of the places not in the FS world or whose coordinates are not known to the general public...

Camp David is the retreat for all presidents, and is in Maryland, while Dubya's ranch is in Crawford, Texas.
