Just got my new sound card and speakers!!!
SoundBlaster Audigy 2ZS
Creative Inspire 7.1

I can't believe that I waited this long for a upgrade like this!
Totally unbeliveable!
I fly in a DC3 it sounds like I'm flying in a DC3!!!!
The house was shaking last night  Grin Grin

The software was tricky because of lack of usefull instructions! only downfall of the whole setup, well that and what the hell do you do with five miles of speaker wire???
New project this weekend, hiding wire!
FYI: If installing a new sound card be sure to disable and remove any on board software and drivers!! Could have saved myself a hour or two if I would have thunk it first Embarrassed

fretnstuff,

Hate to be a nag....... but the Audigy ZS instructions mention to do that "disable thing" before installing the new card.  I installed the same ZS Gamer card (but with Logitech speakers) a couple of days ago.   Wink

I won't tell you how many OTHER times I have installed stuff the "hard way" though.  Grin

best,

................john

PS:  And yes... it is AMAZING what good sound does to the simulation.  Adding the powered subwoofer adds a LOT to things.  And the 5.1 or 7.1 sound effect is hard to imagine until you experience it.

My instructions lacked anything written in English!!   Roll Eyes

I did find the Spanish in the "instructions" not knowing how to speak it I figured it out wher it said:

Preparacion del equipo
"desinstale su software"

So yes! you are correct!  Grin Grin Grin Grin But either way with everything I have added to this computer the "common sense" factor should have told me so in the first place  Cheesy
Just too excited I guess! Wink
But I highly recommend a sound card/speaker upgrade, after video card for a awesome flying experiance!
