Hello & good morning to all... I have a MAJOR colour problem which occurs randomly during any flight in FS9... My FS2004 installation went without any problems and the Sim was functioning as it should until I installed some Downloaded Aircraft from the FS2002 Simviation Files...
What happens is this: The sky turns Green, the trees and runways turn red and luminous cracks appear in ground textures far as far as you can see... Basically it's a complete colour frenzy... The aircraft themselves are usually unafected from the outside but the cockpits looks like wet paint that has run...

Is there anyone out there who has incountered this same problem and how can I fix it....

I think it's worth a mention that a BIG congratulations must go to those who take the time and effort into producing some of the downloads available on this site. They are "fantastic" SO WELL DONE YOU GUYS... keep up the good work..!!!

you are sure that these were only aircraft (and not 'airport environment upgrade' for fs2002 which is incompatible with FS2004)

Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and An-24RV&&&&AI flightplans and repaints can be found here

I installed Brize Norton and Bristol Airport scenery upgrades but I dont remember any mention of incompatability with FS2004.... Do you reckon I boobed installing these onto FS2004 and would the problem disappear if I deleted those particular scenery files..???

Hi Si_Combat. I haven't tried the Brize Norton scenery but the Bristol update works pefectly well in FS9. Check out this thread. (Read both pages) http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=scn;action=display;num=107...

Some 3rd party aircraft & panels are extremely graphics intensive so the display might vary depending on which ones you're using. You didn't mention your system specs but I suspect the problem might be due to your graphics card or display settings. Make sure you have the latest DX compatible drivers for all hardware from the manufacturers sites. The latest DirectX 9.0b from the Windows update site might also help.

does that problem only occur at these places or everywhere else too?

No Ivan..... It happens at random no matter where I fly... to temporarily cure the problem I have to restart FS2004....

There are 2 versions of Birdman's Bristol Airport update. The FS2004 version is posted here. http://www.simviation.com/fs2004scenery16.htm

The FS2002 version will most likely be incompatible with FS9. This could well explain your problem. If this is the case please make sure you uninstall the previous version properly before trying the correct one.
