Hello,

    Does anyone know how the coordinate display of
SHIFT-Z
can be changed to display fractal seconds?

    For example...

N12* 34.56' W012* 34.56'
is what I have

N12* 34' 56.78" W012* 34' 56.78"
is what I want.

Thanks,

Joe

The only way I can think of changing it is actually changing the line of code in the game itself...I dunno.. ???

Anybody else know?

    Also, I can't remember, and can't find the file about how to add average FPS on the display.

To do this, open up your FS9.cfg file and find the section headed "[MAIN]".

Replace what you have with this:

[MAIN]
Location=316,222,964,756
HideMenuNormal=0
HideMenuFullscreen=1
Maximized=1
Ave_Frame_Rate_Display=1

Ric,

WOW..... where is adding that line documented?

So I did that and I have a new series of numbers displayed.  the first from the left looks something like
[  xxxxxxxx ]    the next one is like <xxxxxxxx>    and the last one is a % number.

Can you explain exactly WHAT I am looking at here?

Thanks.

best,

Righto,

The numbers in square brackets are as follows:

[Min Fps, Average Fps, Max Fps]

The "V: xx.x%" value is the current fps variation (in percent) from the current average fps value.

This command line was a debugging feature used by the FS9 developers left in after completion. It's great for working out what features of the game cause a big hit on fps.

Where did you learn that?  AHHHHHH I Know.... you work for Microsoft  Wink.

Is there anywhere that documents the meaning of all the verious variables in the fs9.cfg file?

LOL, I certainly don't work for MS!

I've not seen a "fs9.cfg" document as such, all the stuff I know is either picked up from experimentation, or just little tid-bits I've picked up over the years.
