Got  FS2004...Now...What Do I NEED?! (Read 688 times)

Hello, I went out on my lunch hour and purchased FS9!  YA-HOOO!!  Grin Grin
This is the deal i got...http://staples50canada.crossmediaservices.com/staplesbusinessdepot/circular_brow...

Now the question that I am sure has been asked before but I did a search and cannot find anything on this...so...

What files/programs/DLL's/Updates....Do I need?!

Here is what I got so far:

- FSUIPC (Version 3.202)
- Project AI  installer
- The "No CD"  Patch
- Active Camera (old freeware one)

So can you kindly list for me what  you feel are the REAL necessary add-ons for FS2004...

Thanks and I appologize if you think this is a lame post....

Pretty much a lot of payware, say, $1500 should cover it.

Gulp. Give it up for the guy who shops around before making a purchase. 29.96 Canadian!

I'm bleedin' sure that after you've paid out all this dosh to get a really nice system to fly the simulator, it probably would have been cheaper to go out and buy a second-hand Cessna 150, and fly it for real... 8)...!

What a bunch of insensitive , un-caring , indelicate , superficial responses from a bunch of otherworldly guys who fail to appreciate a GOOD DEAL .  Here's what you need : I would suggest a two four of Alexander Kieth's India Pale Ale and a new hat with a picture of a Beaver float on it .  It all should come in at under sixty bucks .  If you can't get Kieth's out there in cowboy country , give me a call and I'll bring some over .   Cheers, buddy.       Terry Wink

I would suggest.
Better faster water textures.
Better night lighting.
Any plane or helicopter that you like.
Texture maps of any areas you want to fly in.

If you want suggestions on aircraft ( P-51, Bell helicopters, flying sub, Robinson helicopter, DC-3 {of course}, misc fighter jets...)

I would reccomend getting the new F-18E over at Flightsim.com.  I can't remember who built it but its awesome (its like #1 on their top new dl's list).  Anyway, its a 30MB file but well worth it!

You cant for FS9.  The FS2002 Active camera is stuill freeware, but the FS2004 only works in the seattle area for free.  As far as I know, the fs2002 AC is not compatible with FS2004.  =Not sure though, just what I've heard...

I reccommend the F-18 mentioned above, the latest SGA DC-10, and the recnt F-14 tomcat that is so outstanding.

How about a bt of FSE, "Flight Sim Enhancer" from LAGO, to populate all thse empty airfields with all sorts of objects, and introduce some "environment" sounds with it as well....COOL.... Grin....!
