I think I have had just about every problem with CFS3
1. First thing yo want to do is change your controls, if you have a custom key configuration, check CFS3 or Flight simulator and see if any of those work, (check what the bomb button is)
2. If those work it might be a problem with your custom keyconfiguration- easy to fix, if not it might be a problem with all the keymaps- also an easy fix(both very common)
If you havent realized yet, all of CFS3 files are in what I like to call a timebomb, they all get messed up somehow over time (at least for me)
In windows XP (not shure about others but I'll tell you what files so you can do a search if you don't have XP
First go to your
C:\Documents and Settings\**Your name**\Application Data\Microsoft\Combat Flight Simulator 3.0\folder you will see one or more files named
CFS3.xca, (default CFS3 key config) and "whatever your custom keyconfig is called".xca
the .xca files are your key config files and they can also be opened with notepad to see whats inside
2. If you only had a problem with only your custom keyconfig, just delete(or cut and paste somewhere else) what ever you named it
If you re having having a problem with all keyconfigs (including defaults), you can delete(or cut and paste somewhere else) both files
If you are feeling a little paranoid, you can just cut and paste them somewhere else for backup (you don't have to I just know some very paranoid people)
3.)Now if you start up CFS3, the .xca files will be recreated and your problem should be solved
4.)You will have to reasign your keys though
5.) If it didn't work or it did not make any kind of sense, its because I just came back from Vegas and have been sitting in the car for around 12 hours. Just ask me to restate it, I cant think right now.
Enjoy while I get some much needed rest
