No flashy story here...just some bad weather on takeoff, and some nice wing views over San Juan....not to mention it was an incredibly dangerous approach considering at one point I was about 100 feet from hitting the mountain tops.

edit: i just realized i didnt upload the picture of how close the trees were at one point-- sorry!

Where did you get it!? I saw the old colors in the library here recently, but not the new colors. Very nice shots!!

In shot #5...what is that purple line on the ground? It looks progressive taxi instructions but your not taxiing?! Wink

My bet is that is is the progressive taxi line. HE probably was already taxiing and had progressive taxi on when he started the replay. The taxi line stays around during a replay. HAppens to me sometimes...

boingman got it right. when i'm taking screenshots i usually go back to the replay to take shots fo the landing because shots from a 2d cockpit are a little boring usually. In this case, I neglected to turn off progressive taxi-- d'oh!! =]

go to flightsim.com and sign up, it's free. you can search their libraries too with some pretty good search functions.

Remember though, flightsim.com allows you on their freeservers for 2 hours per day, so make sure you know what you want, find it, and download it. keep track of your files and waste time installing them after they're on your machine. You could also long on from 10pm-12am, and then go right back on from then until 2am, but use your time wisely. I found a lot of stuff there that is not on most servers.

It's been explained before, but the purple line is just offset slightly North (imagine extending the road coming out from the airport out over the lagoon) from from where the "Teodoro Moscoso" bridge should be spanning the San José Lagoon. It's quite a "flightsim" interesting brige since it has (at least the last time I was there) alternating US and PR flags along the two rails. (And to be accurate, some of the PR flags should be upside down, with the single star pointing to the bottom. Not always are they hoisted correctly)

Nice shots, made me a wee bit homesick.

Thanks. I'll go check good old no-nodes. They tend to have stuff not found other places, like you said. perfect example is the recent F/A-18E.
