They're neat .  They kick around in your hand a bit which, for me, is usually indicative of potential calamity .  You can think of them as one more part of the sensory experience analogous to , say; having sex ( it's all in your head !).     Roll Eyes

Or in my case, all in my hand.   Roll Eyes

The stick forces do add a nice touch of "realism". However, they aren't totally accurate.

One of the best (?) things about FFB is the simulation of pitch trim force on the stick.... when you alter speed in an aircraft, the pitch force on the stick - control column, changes gradually, giving you a "feel" for the speed, and forcing you to "trim as required" to reduce the stick load on the pilot.

Also , the roll (aileron ) forces are nice, feeling sluggish response when speed is low, the aircraft is heavy or flaps are out.

If you have flown aircraft, you can imagine these forces anyway, but it is nice for those that haven't.

Little touches like a "bump" when the landing gear retracts are nice too.
