Hi,

After another squad match when I am sure some of the opposing team were using 'mods', I would like to know if anyone has come across any anti-cheat/mod detector program that can detect mods in multiplayer games?
I am sure I have heard of something in the past, but I cannot find any reference or link now.

Thanks

It's a perennial problem this, isn't it? Just b****y annoying and difficult to call.

In CFS2 there is Fair Skies which is pretty robust and workable, though I am informed that people have now found ways round this. Someone committed to cheating will always find a way....

There's a couple of issues you might like to look into with regard to CFS1:

Austins anticheat page for general info and background:
http://www.geocities.com/austinmchugh/anticheat.html

The anticheat tool by Vincent Zalzal, alias «Snake_Eyes» and Snake-Eyes42: http://b2mk2.free.fr/fichier/Anticheat.zip

I remember that I once tried to get the latter up and running when I was flying CFS1, but was never able to. I know you're a bit of a computer whizz so maybe you'll have better luck... Wink

Best of luck with this. I don't get into CFS1 too often these days having become a confirmed CFS2 addict  Tongue, but will look out for you when I do. Regards to all in RAF19!
