Hi Drastic,

Chek out the 'Compatibility Guide' near the bottom of the main d'load page.

But basically, yes, later d'loads from FS2002, done with GMax or FSDSv2 should work.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Drastic & welcome. Most FS2002 aircraft will work in FS2004. The animation on some earlier models won't function properly. If you get a "3rd party software" warning message click the No option. They might still be OK. The only way to find out is to try them. If they're no good simply delete the folder. It won't cost anything to try. Wink

......and a perk in FS2004, which I found out about not long ago...   Tongue   Thanks to someone? here.

Gauges will work from the a/c's panel folder...

If your d'loaded a/c comes with gauges to place in the 'gauges' folder, simply place the *.gau files in the a/c's panel folder. That way if you want to scrubb the a/c your not leaving a bunch of unused gauges in the main gauge folder..

Cheers,
Dave

Is that so? LOL

This is a new one on me. I must check it out. If it works it would solve a lot of problems. Can't think how I missed it. Roll Eyes Wink

Well, I'll go to the foot of our stairs. Shocked I tried it & it works. Roll Eyes ???

I wonder how many developers realise this? It means that in future all an aircraft or panel designer has to do is upload the file with the gauges in the Panel folder. Saves all that messing about & confusion with gauges. They stay with the aircraft as they should have done in the first place.

Thanks Dave. This has come as a complete shock. Shocked
I think I'll pack it all in & take up Solitaire. Grin

Of course, the downside to keeping gauges in the AC panel folder  is you can wind up with many duplicate gauges and increased, wasted disk space.

What I do is to initially place the gauges in the panel folder with all new AC I install.
If I decide to keep the AC, I then move the gauges to the common gauge folder.
