A'ight,buddys,time for a trip to the western side of Africa,right north of Madagaskar. To the Seychelles....a group of small islands,all of 'em spread over one million square miles. Tropical climate and lots of reefs and water.
Ideal surrounding for naval aircraft,preferably millitary ones! Grin

I've decided to hop around a bit between the islands and get some experience with some military (mostly naval) aircraft of the 1940s and 1950s.

My pick for this flight is the.....Westland Seafire MkIII. (Cheers,Hawker and Ozzy! Grin

)

And here are the pics:

Taking off from Seychelles Intl on the main island:

The first thing to do is -of course- buzzing over some houses... Grin

I've passed the mountain chain in the middle of the island,heading for a smaller isle a couple of miles away in the ocean:

Leaving Mahé behind...

Taking a closer look at the gorgeous Seafire.

Approaching my destination...

Flaps down,gear down,canopy open (you might never know),but no tailhook,of course. Grin

Coming in...

Parked and secured. Heading for the house in order to get a nice,cool drink. 8)

Thats one shiny bird! I get al sorts of nice feeling when i see these shots. You can feel the warmth and the breeze blowing over the islands.
