I have noticed that the elevator trim is a little out of control. Pressing the buttons on the joystick just once  makes the aircraft pitch up or down real fast.
Where in the cfg file can I change this?

I always tap the 7 and 1 keys on the keypad, (Num Lock off), and watch the trim wheel on the panel.
Tap 1 for nose up/take off/land, tap 7 for nose down/accelerate/cruise.
That works fine for me... Grin...!

Hi Selbio,

To slow down the rate on all a/c go to ...Options>Controls>Assignments and reduce the repeat rate sliders for the trim up and trim down assignments.

Cheers,
Dave

Also remember that the trim is very sensitive.  I use the keys like fozzer and I tap once and see what happens, then tap once more and wait again.  Holding your finger on the button is likely to result in a very short, but highly entertaining flight...

 Thanks everybody,

It was Posky's A330 I was having problems with. At first I thought it was the panel but then I realized that it just me. It's been almost a year since I had flown them.
Flying the 767 all along, I guess they are two totally different aircraft that behave totally different.

Open aircraft cfg. Go to the section marked [flight_tuning] , find the line
                      elevator_trim_effectiveness
and alter the value(usually=1.000) to a lower value,example; =0.700 .
         Also find the line,
                      pitch_stability
the value again is usually 1.000 ( try increasing this value, example; =1.400 ) , this will also help make the elevator trim more controlable.
As always make a backup of your aircraft cfg. and experiment with these values until you are happy with the way your aircraft flies.

Hope this is of help,     Arthurplum.

   Thanks,

I will try that. By the way how do I make the aircraft bank either left or right faster? I find it rather slow at low speeds.

Roll rate is based on a large number of aerodynamic factors, not least of which is the size of the ailerons.  You will always have a degradation of roll rate at lower speeds.  It would be possible to get an enhanced effect by increasing the aileron size using an .air file editor but this would alter the "model" of the aircraft you are flying and thus make it unrealistic.

I didn't know that there will always be a degradation of roll rate at lower speeds, I guess I can live with that.

Thanks anyways.
