Hey guys, why not lay off this a little.  Remember this "He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone." (John 8:7) You've obviously got your point accross to the extent that Mike is leaving.  If thats not what you wanted-then just stop this.

If that was your intention, then by all means continue.

True, but what I want to know is: WHY he even told us this?  ???

Probably just to show what he's got.  The same reason Ozzy flies airliners under bridges and I spin the tires on my car.  Because we can.   Wink

Now, why didn't I think of that? Still, IMO telling us this was a bad move on your part, Mike. My advice, live and let die. Don't ever pull another stunt like this again. It could lead to serious consequences. Roll Eyes

Yeah, why would you even think about proclaiming your guilt?  It's like walking out of a jewelry store with a stolen diamond ring, getting up on a trash bin, and showing off your recent theft to the public.  Then when the police come your defence is "Oh, I'm a kid" or "Oh I can do this where I come from".  It's not extraterritoriality here.

Just silly of you...Undecided

P.S. Who is gonna warn the Avsim guys...they are probably gonna be even more pissed than us if they find out. Shocked

I also don't think he thought what he did was illegal at first.  I think he just thought since someone paid for it, it was OK.  So, he wanted to tell everyone about it.  I doubt if he knew that it was a serious issue he would have came right out and said it (he might not have even done it).  I think it's a matter of doing something without knowning the consiquences.

Can anyone say they've never done something and later found out it was wrong?  I can't.

Plus, this is how we learn about things.  We make a mistake and learn from it.  I just think you guys are being too hard on him.

pmdg should have a mad hacker nut who hacks into comps that have their software on it without paying and delete it and mess around with the registry or something... just a thought lol but damn that would be ilegal also !

geez guys liven up...it was obvious he was never gonna buy it anyways so in a way its not a loss of profit...if he was distributing it to a large number of potential customers then yeah that is pretty bad and he may even piss off a few existing customers saying he has it but at end of the day they know they bought it ligit so they can sleep at night Cheesy

People come down a little. I think you all are over reacting. I'm surprised that some of you never committed a computer crime. I mean its unavoildble. I'm not saying delibrate priating is right, but that kid is from Trukey, where people make $1.25 an hour, sry Mike didn't mean to put down your country, how do you expect some one like that to be able to afford a cope of FS 2004, which costs $60 from where I come from.

Oh yeah, Mike, if you pirate anything else just keep it to yourself.

And what's wrong about the fact that his friend send it to him via E-Mail? Why buying it yourself if your friend has it and can give it to you for free?
Alright,it's illegal, but who f*ckin' cares about that if no one knows?
Telling us how he got that plane was Mikes only mistake imho. Roll Eyes

I still have a hard time to accept somebody who basically steals the work of some pretty darned good programmers, and then have the nerve to post it on a public forum  Angry

Yes I'm against file swapping, I'm against warez in general, call me a moral-geek or whatever. It's so unfair to the developers of software....

Pete, relax abit  Wink

I know people copy software to left and right - but what Mike has done (posted on the forum) can hurt this whole site.
I don't care what you and others have on their hardware - however I do CARE when people are posting it on public forum, which can get Pete and the site in trouble.

I'm not saying you or any other here a bad person - we have different point of views and I respect you for that, but I don't agree with it  Smiley
