It sure as hell ain't the A-10.
The russians are not talented at building aircraft that are asteticly pleasing.

You got to be joking? The Mig-29 looks absolutely georgous and at the time of its birth really pioneered its way in ergonomics in aircraft. The Ruskis are very talented and the Hind looks fantastic.

All right if you say so. I personaly hate any Mig, especialy the '29, so I don't feel the same way. The Mig's are still pretty much the only thing that shoots back (that is, if it even gets the opportunity) when the Lockheeds, the MD's, the Grumman's, and the Boeings come bombin', so I see tham as a direct threat to my and my military's well being and only good when going down in flames. Sorry.
I have also read many complants from western world pilots that have flown them and many say that they are a bloody pain in the arse. The controls are not laid out in the most natural manner and the pitt is cramped to put it nicely. They also cannot make an aircraft's skin smooth to save their lives.

I bet you that if you put a Russian pilot into an F16 he would complain like crazy about the layout of the thing.
I could have guessed that you hate Mig's because they're the only thing that pose a threat to the USAF. But if they are good enough to take on the west then they deserve respect. You don't have to like them but if you respect them and what they're capable of then you will probably hate them less.
And also, am I the only one who doesn't see a huge amount of difference between the Mig29, Su27 and the F15?

I've heard something similar to that, but this time from british pilots about the Me 109.
Nevertheless, pilots of this aircraft were the aces of the aces of WW2. :p

The Hind that crashed in the 80's while showing off crashed because of pilot error. The statistics in real combat give a different image... After the end of the Iran-Iraq war, the Iranians lost 10 Huey-Cobra's, against 6 Iraqi Hinds. These are confirmed helicopter kills only.
Flight characteristics comparison...
Helicopter
Hind
Aircraft
In that order.
A Mi-24 isn't happy in a hover, but shines when it comes to high altitude performance, and still is one of the fastest helicopters in service with a maximum speed of 335kmh.
Russian planes:
IL-76 (all standard length ones)
,
Tu-154 and Il-62
,
Tu-134
and
An-24RV
