Right, there was a show on belgian television, called Peking express. 6 couples hitch-hike from Moskou to Peking. Along the road they could race with Ural-trucks! Now THATS what i call a 4x4!
Nice to see there are some people around who share my idea about those ridiculous vehicles!
Those Ural trucks are 6x6, have a
11 litre
V8, and are the ideal base for offroad campervans. One problem... they eat diesel fuel like it's water. 1:3 for the latest variant, 1:1 or worse for the older engine model.
As this thing is WAY too expensive to own in holland, except when modified to burn sunflower oil (which is illegal here for some reason) i have set my eyes on the following
Rebirth of the Land Rover 109... Santana PS-10 AKA 'Hannibal'.

Tu-154 and Il-62

Sunflower oil can only be sold for food purposes here...
Aren't there fuel stations that sell sunflower oil for car use in germany? I've heard something about that

Working electrics? I'll have you know that the rear right hand light works and so do the dashboard lights!
Needless to say, I don't drive it in the dark...

Not sunflower oil,but canola (right word?). Some crazy guys even use salad oil and deep-frying grease to fuel their cars...
