                      Hello every one:
I am having a problem getting afcad to recognize my afcad files when I click on open it is not finding any airports. But when I use the open from a specific file I have no problem in finding them. Not sure why this is going on.
I have version 2.02 of AFCAD
I have put my afd airports in the main scenery folder of fs2004 and it still does not work. I am unable to find a version older than 2.02 the avsim site does not have one that I can find. Any help here woluld be appreciated
     Thanks Gary

Put em in the SCENERY sub-folder in the ADDON SCENERY folder

The main scenery folder isn't activated in the scenery library in the right way

I made a sub folder called Addon Scenery in the main Scenery folder and put the AFCAD files in it. It still will not find them without using the open specific file option.  I even tried putting them in the folder called Addon Scenery but the same thing happens I even make sure to delete the blank files it creates along with the ini file so it starts fresh.

I didn't say that.

I said put em in the scenery sub folder in the default, already existing ADDON SCENERY folder. Unless you deleted it, it is already there and waiting.

Thanks for help but I think the problem was with the version I had, I found a newer version and it works fine.
But just so you know the first place I had put the files were in the Addon Scenery folder that comes with FS9.
The new version finds every airport I have now no matter where it is. Must have been a bad version maybe not even for FS2004.
But thanks for the help anyway

Gary, it's not just that. You have to put the AFD files in a folder that's active in the FS9 scenery library and at the right level as they are treated just like any other installed scenery. For the AFD files to work in the sim, unless you activate the folder that you put them into manually, you must put them into one that's already active by default ie

....\FS9\ADDON SCENERY\Scenery

My fault you are correct in what you said. The problem I was having was with AFCAD not finding any airports in FS2004. Like I  said the new version I found (222) works great. It now sees every airport I have.
   SORRY ABOUT THE CONFUSION!
A bad hair day.
    Thanks for all the help.
