Scheibe SF.25C (Read 108 times)

Another new aircraft in my hangar,the Scheibe SF25C. The great advantage of this aircraft is its engine. Compared to normal sailplanes,she's capable of a normal take-off an can remain airborne for a much longer time. If you've found a nice thermal,you just switch the engine off and use the SF25 like a normal sailplane.

I tried to do so,so I took off from Twitchell,MA in order to test the Scheibe's gliding capability.

I think i like the guy who modeled this aircraft...Grin

Looking for thermals...

...but no success. So I headed back to the airfield.
...

I decided to make a landing without engine,just for the fun of it.
...

It worked very well and the SF25 could prove its gliding capabilities.
...

Parked in front of the airfield's main building,getting ready for the next flight...
...

I've been off the gliders lately, but agreed, anyone who puts a bottle of beer in the cockpit for you is a v.nice man Grin
