Hey guys, it has been awhile since I posted the last leg of my trip, but its been awhile since I last flew too! (I have a good excuse though!  Lots of work, no time for fun. Undecided)   Well If you don't remember, when we last left off I had flown to Tebouan Morocco...

I awoke refeshed in my Tebouan hotel room.  I hadn't slept that well since London, and I didn't get out bed until 11!  Then it still took me an hour to get ready.

Once at the airport I checked the weather report, and it was going to be a beautiful day, clear skies and no wind.

As I promised, I told the locals of all my travels, in the Americas, the Far East, and Europe.  The conversation trailed off to all sorts of topics and lasted hours.

By the time we finished it was around 4 o-clock and I really needed to get going.  I bid my new friends good-bye and got up in the air.

...

Slowly the land beyond the coastal mountains changed from luss greens to a sandy brown.  And then the sand engulfed the mountains as well.

...

I was curious how far I would get.  The sun was stinking fast and I wasn't to keen on flying at night in an area I wasn't to familiar with.

...

I continued to fly away from the sun, looking back every now and then to see a spectacular sunset.

...

...

The sun finally dipped below the horizon...

...

And darkness enveloped me....  It was a clear night, no moon, so it was still pretty dark.  My only guide was a highway that ran along the coast.  I followed it's lights, hoping it would lead me to a town and an airport.

...

Off in the distance I saw lights.  It seemed to be a farely large city, so I figured an airport wasn't far off.

Sure enough, in the distance were runway lights.  I lined up with them and called the tower for a straight in approach.  I was on a perfect glide slope, and Peggy drifted down for a perfect landing.

...

After turning off the runway I followed, what seemed to be, the longest taxiway on earth (or I was just going really slow) to parking.

Once parked I turned off Peggy's lights and shut her down.  Stepping out I hit my head on the engine and fell on my arse.  My head hurt and I sat on the ground  looking around for a minute.  There were a lot of planes tied down for the night and the occasional one coming and going.

I went inside and payed the tie-down fees and had a bite.  I had no idea where I was, but there'd be plenty of time for that in the morning.  I didn't even bother to go into town for a room, Peggy's back seat would be all right for the night

...

Next I start early in the morning (mind you early in the morning for a 15-year-old, so thats about 8. ) for a flight across North Africa hoping to reach Alexandria or Cairo by night fall.  Hopfully I will have all the legs for that days trip ready by next week.  I going to try and get a leg or two up each week on Saturdays, so if you're watching this journey tune in then, and thanks for watching! Smiley

And if you missed any of the previous legs here are some links (I had to dig to find these. Roll Eyes ):

Well from the begining I never planned on flying to Africa.  But I wanted to see Alexandria and Cairo.  Then I'll be back in Europe.  Oh and I'll be in Germany real soon, so put some on ice! Grin

Thanks again!

Hey BeukStylez!  There are younger people here, Mike is 12...  You can never be too old or too young to be addicted to flight! Smiley
