Does anyone know were i can find a Flight Managment Computer for my 777,because i need one for the approaches and sids and stars.

you DONT need one for the sids and stars.
You'll find a  great number of SID/STAR charts available on the web, even though I only fly aircrafts with FMC's, I find it very comfortable to review the arrival/departure on e-paper Smiley

But I don't know anything about freeware FMC's...that software is very complicated to program. However, I heard about a freeware FMC project some time ago, don't know what ever happened to that project though

That usually depends on what country you want SIDs and STARs for. You can find US charts at http://www.myairplane.com/databases/approach/index.php and UK charts at http://www.ais.org.uk . Not sure about anywhere else, to be honest, but those work fine for me!

Thanks,i love these charts.But some of the stuff confuses me can someone explain these charts to me??

yes, but what part do you not understand?
All of it  ???

Take ILS rwy 24 for example.

(enter KBHM in airport ID field and click "search", then select the ILS RWY 24 chart)

Say you're coming from the  TDG VOR (Talladega). You will pass that at maybe 9000ft, continue heading 283 for a distance of 26nm.

Then at the fix called SPATT (26nm from TDG VOR), you should be at 3000ft, and now turning left to heading 236 (approach course). Have the ILS frequency tuned in (109,5), set ILS course at 236 and track the localizer needle.

If you've done it correctly, you will now be approx 8.2 miles from the outer marker, which also serves as the FAF (final approach fix)
At SPATT we should be at 3000ft as I told you before, it's 8,2nm between SPATT and the outer marker for ILS24, where we are supposed to be at 2100ft. So you have to reduce altitude by 900ft. before reaching the OM.

The Outer marker is located 5,8nm from the localizer transmitter, but don't be fooled here, the localizer is situated at the other end of our runway, so in reality, you're only 4,3nm away from the runway threshold Smiley


Now this is just the very basics. If you have understood the above, maybe we can continue, but this is enough for now Smiley

Here's a review of the waypoints:
TDG VOR: Talladega VOR, freq:  108.8

SPATT: located 28nm from TDG, course 283

Outer marker:
Is located 5,8nm away from the ILS signal (4,3nm away from runway threshold) that's the FAF aswell. You can tell that by looking at the chart. A lightning bolt is the symbol of the FAF for precision approaches, which we are conducting here Smiley

ILS frequency: 109.5
ILS course: 236


I put in the approach into flight simulator (aircraft is PMDG737), and this is what I came up with.
I'm coming from the north-east, outbound TDG VOR.
There are 2 green circles, that's because I have put in 2 fixes into the FMC:
First fix: TDG VOR, with a radius of 26nm, the green circle cuts through the waypoint SPATT.
Second fix: Our localizer transmitter, with a radius of 5.8nm, circle cuts through our FAF, LOWGA.
Then we have our missed approach holding pattern (direct entry, standard right turns)
...

Umm what does Flight Managment Computer  do by the way? Roll Eyes Sorry if this is a stupid question. I just never really heared of it before. Embarrassed

The FMC or Flight Managment Computer, is the swiss army knife of the skies.
You put in all the data before your flight (and during it) of your course, the VOR's and intersections etc. and it will present you with nice headings, fuel burn, distance to travell and other things.
Im not sure exactly but I think that all airplanes that have the FMC can be flown from start to finish with the pilot hardly touching the controlls. (thats in real a/c though)
