I have a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro that will be 5 years old this christmas, and I have flown it FS98 through FS2004, and I would like to know how long has your joystick lasted. Post what kind and how long since you have had it.

For which one do you want the time: the old quickjoy, the gravis or the logitech

Quickjoy: 1-2 years depending on how often i played 'TIE Fighter'
Gravis: i think 5 years, it's still working but the contact pad is dirty so it has huge spikes in certain parts of the range
Logitech: have it a year or so now... as long as the USB ports decide to work (switch from USB2 to USB1.1 mode) it works, or i use the USB1.1 dedicated ports

Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and An-24RV&&&&AI flightplans and repaints can be found here

I had a Saitek ST110, £15 and has lasted me 2 years - I suddenly found it quite hard to fly in straight lines! Shocked (ill blame my landings on that I think)

Bless it its now dead but I've got a new joystick - a Saitek ST110. Perhaps next time ill get something a little more advanced. Grin

I have a CH combat stick or whatever they call it and Ive had it 5 years or close to 5 years. I got it when I got Janes Longbow Gold which is pretty long ago but I dont know how long the game was out before I got it. Its starting to fade away, It has random twitches and doesnt go as far to the left as it does to the right when the computer reads it. Still feels just as smooth as when I got it though. I might get a Microsoft FF 2 and keep my old stick as an extra. Right now Ive gotta figure out what to do with my graphic card cause there no use getting FS9 to only get like 6 fps like I flew Flight Sim 02 with for so long.

BTW Fozzer nice bike! I race motocross.

Logitec Wingman X-3D, almost 3 yrs.

Only a couple of minor operations to properly re-seat the rudder pot, been working good since.

Cheers,

I have a Saitek X-45. Only had it for about a month now. Before that I had a Logitech FF that died less than six months after I bought it. The one before that one was a Logitech Wingman 3D that lasted for about three years until my computer got hit by lightning. Post the same poll in another year or two and I'll let you know how the Saitek stands up against the old Logitech. Smiley

Me too. Raced Pro back in the 80s. Got to race against Bob Hannah. Saw him twice during the race. Once on the starting line and later when he lapped me.  Embarrassed
