Hey guys,

I just noticed the other day that when you're choosing airports, there's no info on them!!!!  It should be like the real world, I know that they've done that with map view, which is good and I like it, but they should have a little space, for info on airports as you highlight them.  I.E.  Distance of longest runway, controlled or uncontrolled aerodrome, lit runway or not lit runway (at night), airport elevation and whether it is a private airstrip or a big commercial one, the size of aircraft that it can support and so on.  It will actually make things much better, rather than, when you want to fly in places you haven't been before, say, with a 737, there's no info on the select airport page, so I could select a bloody airport with a runway 800 metres long and 20 metres wide, but would only find out when I'm either at the map page when flightplanning, or only when I'm at the airport if I'm not planning a flight!

Another cool thing would be:

I random flightplanner:  You select a departure airport, or not at all, then you fill in a few fields, say, length of flight you want (E.g. from 1-2 hours) or distance range (I prefer time range), after choosing aircraft so it could calculate distance, IFR or VFR, and so on, and it would find a suitable airport in that range that you can fly to with that aircraft, or if you didn't choose a departure airport, it would find any 2 airports suitable for that aircraft type within the time or distance range and plan the flight.  It could also choose suitable cruising altitudes, still don't know why current flight planner would choose 5000 'ASL for a flight 800nm long in a 747!  You should be able to choose weather, then plan a flight, and it'll calculate a proper flight level, depending on the weather, in which the fuel consumption is best.

Smiley Wink Cheesy Grin

that sounds good to me
but what I would loe most is some effects (more I mean) for the aircrafts, see, there is no heat haze, there is no dirty while you fly, it would be great to see or planes get really dirty and old (probably controled by number of hours flow, dunno if it's possible) maybe some tires blowin too, what do U think?

Nice idea.

I also want to see some more realism in FS2006.

I'd like:

Brakes that catch fire when you overuse them.
Tyres that blow out when you thump it down, or land sideways.
Engines that let go when you firewall them on every leg.
Engines that actually catch fire, properly.
More reallistic winds - I want windshear at 100ft AGL and wake turbulence.

Plus about 50000000 other things I'm too lazy to write down.

MS, please?

Ouch! Now that is really scary stuff, but then we need to have aircrafts capable of giving wind shear warnings - just like the real world, or else I'm not flying anywhere  Grin

yup!  crazy windshears! Sad Tongue Lips Sealed

but it would be great to see these things

but a lil n specific thing that I think it's completly necessary to change: damage to the engines!
we can go on n on with overspeed and all parameters in red condition that nothing happens!!!! to stupid, in the other hand the overstress are a mess! sometimes completly worng and overreacted!
fizing this would be great  Shocked
